El Parque offers one of the most secure and beautiful environments in Lakeside, with 24/7 double front gate guard, plus a staff of gardeners and maintenance to keep it manicured all the time.

What does the name El Parque mean?

The name “El Parque” initially came about because it was formerly a “trailer park”, re-designed to its current splendor in the 1990s.

Location

El Parque is located in San Antonio Tlayacapan, mountain-side to the carretera, just up from Cafe Negro. El Parque enjoys a very convenient location within walking distance to Walmart, Super Lake, Centro Laguna Mall, restaurants, yoga/pilates studio, shops, the new San Antonio hospital, bus, Libramiento for an easy 30-minute drive to the GDL airport, etc.

Economic Activities

Just about all of El Parque inhabitants are retired people from abroad.

Special Places

The common area clubhouse, pool, BBQ and park setting is impressive. El Parque has an active social schedule with pool aquatics, card playing, exercise room, Friday night happy hour and much more.

Traditions

El Parque has different activities through the year, being November- April the most active moths. Activities like pool volleyball, poker, gym, happy hour on Fridays and much more.

Every year at Halloween the inhabitants of this community put on their costumes and wait for the arrival of the kids with lots of candy and music. Also, a party in June to “invoke” the rain, etc. All in all, El Parque has a very active social life.

The fees at El Parque are $130USD a month (at the time of this writing). The fees includes: Common areas maintenance, gardener, 24/7 double guard security, garbage collection, full time manager.

Potable Water and Sewer Systems

Water and sewer system are provided by a government organization called SIMAPA. The payments may be yearly or monthly if you have a water meter. If you pay yearly and pay in January and February you will have a discount.

The company that supplies this service is CFE (Comisión Federal de Electricidad).

This service must be paid every 2 months and can be paid at the CFE office or in stores like Walmart, Soriana, OXXO and 7 Eleven.
